Qingdao McDermott Wuchuan (QMW) is a joint venture between McDermott and China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC). It is a world-class fabrication yard for topsides, modules and subsea structures, supported by McDermott's global systems and procedures. The fully-enclosed module assembly shop operates 24/7 for on-time schedule, delivering certainty to your projects through rain or shine.
QMW was founded in 2008 and started operating from 2011. The yard is located in Huangdao District, Qingdao City, Shandong province, P.R. of China, which is 1 hour flight from Beijing, Shanghai and Seoul.

China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited( CSSC ) is a major state-owned enterprise and the world's largest shipbuilding and ship repairing enterprises, integrated by CSIC and CSSC in Oct 2019.
CSSC is an entity directly under the state government with state authorization for investment and capital management. The group has a total asset base of USD 112 billion and a workforce of 300, 000.
